However, before he can do anything, Martin takes Blomkvist prisoner, revealing that Gottfried "initiated" him into the ritual rape and murder of women before his own death, and implies that Gottfried Believing that Cecilia's sister Anita, who now lives in London, is the only relative who might know something about Harriet's fate, Blomkvist and Salander tap her phone and learn that Harriet is still alive and living under Anita's name in Back in Sweden, Blomkvist learns that the evidence against Wennerström that Vanger promised him is useless. In 1975, he won the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished criticism.

One of the outstanding thrillers of all time, played wonderfully in Swedish. It will be interesting to see if the hollywood version sticks as closely to the story as the Swdish films!! I am please to see that the northern European artists (director, screenwriter, etc.)

As so often happens didn't quite live up to the story although did keep very well to text with possible exception of omission of certain strands of story which were quite important, I thought. Young Wallander: Season 1 Well, the adaptation is really pretty faithful; it is a long book and, consequently, quite a long film (which does race by, however) and the only major change, as far as I can see, is the excision of the male hero's relationships with a couple of subsidiary (but important) female characters.

Scorned journalist Mikael Blomkvist is called upon by Henrik Vanger, a very wealthy man, while writing a book. It's longer than average, but not slow, not after we become invested in the depravity of the case.

'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' is a crime novel by the late Swedish author and journalist: Stieg Larsson. This version has some graphic scenes.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 19, 2012

I have just watched the sequel 'the girl who kicked the hornets nest' and have got the final film on order. She notices that most of the murders occurred in locations where the corporation did business.

The disgraced journalist is given an assignment to find out the truth behind the disappearance of the niece of a wealthy businessman and is able to call on the assistance of the girl in the title.
