The limit is 35.Dnistrjans said he was not understanding proceedings.Magistrates adjourned the case to November 15 in order for the court to arrange a Russian interpreter to assist him.Magistrates have adjourned for lunch until 2pm, so back soon.Magistrates have returned to court and have adjourned the case of Scott Merryweather to November 15.Next case up is Colin Langdale, 54 , of East Street in Bedminster, pleaded guilty to assaulting bus driver Jaroslaw Gabryszewski on October 17.Langdale was asleep and intoxicated on a bus and grabbed and pushed the driver back when awoken, the court heard.Craig Tickner, defending, said his client was drunk at the time and had suffered bereavement and family illness.Langdale is hoping to start work in construction, Mr Tickner said.Magistrates fined Langdale £40 with £100 compensation and £85 costs.Scott Merryweather, 29, of Dutton Road, Stockwood admitted possessing cannabis and cannabis resin on October 19.Duty solicitor Peter Richardson said the cannabis was volunteered to police.He asked for an adjournment for a further matter of producing a controlled drug to be investigated.Next in the dock are sisters Carly Hathaway, 28, of Witch Hazel Road, Hartcliffe and Cheryl Hathaway, 24, of Acresbush Close, Withywood.They admitted being drunk and disorderly in Green Street, Totterdown, on October 20.The court heard both defendants were intoxicated and shouting and waking residents in the street.When police arrived they swore at them and they were arrested.Cheryl Hathaway said they had been to a pub lock-in, had been given “something” and both ended up drunk.Carly Hathaway, of previous good character, was handed a 12 months conditional discharge with a £21 victim surcharge and £85 costs.Cheryl Hathaway was fined £40 with a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.Dean Jenkins, 37, of Cadbury Heath, pleaded guilty to common assault by picking up a hammer and threatening Oliver Botting on October 6.Jenkins is currently looking for work, the court heard.Magistrates adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report from the probation service.Mark Giles, 30, of Derwent Road, Speedwell, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly on October 19 in Whitehall Road.The court heard he was refused alcohol in a shop, Giles was disorderly and clearly intoxicated.Giles, who is already on a community order, said he went out on Friday and decided to carry on on Saturday.He told the court his alcohol consumption had reduced.Magistrates fined him £466 with a £46 victim surcharge and £85 costs.They told him: “It was an expensive drink, very expensive.”Tre Fearon, 26, of Stapleton Road in Easton, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour towards Sebastian Grochowski at Bristol Temple Meads on May 4.Magistrates were told Mr Grochowski was a ticket inspector who issued Fearon a penalty after Fearon travelled from Bath on a late night train and tried to pay the fare in Bristol.Fearon advised him to have “back up” when he returned and threatened him, the court heard.Craig Tickner, defending, said his client, who works as a butler, had lost his temper.Magistrates handed him a 12 months community order with 150 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs and a £90 victim surcharge.Shaun Parnell, 34, of Clouds Hill Road in St George, pleaded guilty to causing £943.69 to a vehicle owned by JS Hire on July 4 in Ducie Road, Lawrence Hill.The court heard Parnell dented a taxi after saying it damaged the rear wheel of his cycle.Peter Richardson, defending, said his client had contacted the police about the incident within hours of it happening.Mr Richardson said it was Parnell’s case that the taxi buckled his back wheel so he kicked it.Parnell is on benefits, the court was told, and was complying with a community order.Magistrates fined him £40 with £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.Next in the dock is Max Stamper, 25, of Fishponds Road.He faces an allegation of actual bodily harm on October 20.Tony Miles, defending, said his client had suffered concussion after falling from his bike and was in no fit state to give instructions.Magistrates adjourned the case until November 15 and released Stamper on bail.Andrew Taffs, 51, of Shaldon Road, Bristol, pleaded guilty to driving above the alcohol limit.The court heard he was driving a Peugeot van at J1 of the M32 on August 2 when he was found to have 115 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. of the Magistrates Court (including members of the public and the legal profession) and details the measures that the Magistrates Court has put in place to mitigate the risks to our employees and all Court users.
