Singer Gabrielle is as famous for her songs as her sleek look.One part of her image has always been an eye covering – whether that came in the form of an eye patch or a heavy fringe.If you’re wondering the reason why she always keeps one eye under cover, we’ve found out for you.Gabrielle – or Louise Gabrielle Bobb as she was born – apparently keeps one eye covered due to a condition called ptosis.Ptosis is a condition where the eyelid may droop or fall.The eyeball itself is not affected, but it might cause minor visual impairments.However, in an interview on Loose Women in January 2019, ‘The eye patch I only ever used for a year,’ she said, adding, ‘and a lot of people find that hard to believe.’According to former interviews, the covering of the eye was for confidence reasons rather than health.Gabrielle has previously mentioned that she was the target of comments at school, but says that she didn’t feel like it was bullying:‘It’s funny, I never saw myself as being bullied.
