However, after a while, an error was detected in the shooting done with the new lens. But Sahibjaan's furious aunt, takes her niece and flees by train. Kamal Amrohi when he saw that scene of the girl looking on is missing from the film, he requested the editor to put that scene again in the same and Kamal Amrohi told the editor, that he made the whole film for that one particular scene and the whole film is based on that one scene. Meena Kumari's performance as a golden-hearted Lucknow nautch-girl drew major praise. Thousands flocked at Lahore, from as far as Karachi, hundreds of miles away, to see Pakeezah.
